The Art
The Fire, The Strength & The Art of Women Rising.
Too many stories go untold.
Too many women go unvalidated.
Too many go uncelebrated.
Too many do not see their own beauty & power.
& too many women go their whole lives without being truly witnessed and seen.
I want to change that.
Hear the amazing stories about how this project affected so many amazing women.
I hope you will join us.
It's time to
Celebrate You & tell your story.

Join me to create yet another Artist's Visual Representation of your strength, your beauty and your story.
I'm doing a second (and last) round of photographing and telling the stories of 25 more Women and I would love for you to be one of them.

Alyssa M,

I didn't reach out to a photographer expecting such an awakening.
Jessica is a fantastic photographer and a wonderful human... Thank you for giving me the space and this venue for taking this step in my healing.

Because for all the things built to keep us small, we rise.
It's no secret that growing up female in our society comes with some great struggles. Most of which are learned or encountered at a young age.
From sexism, to high societal expectations, to perfectionism, to being shamed, to unrealistic body standards, to unrealistic motherhood standards, to the early adoption idea that girls have a certain "girl" behavior that is expected of them, even to it being her fault when a boy has no control over himself. There are many things out there that we face daily from such a young age.
And yet, for all the things built to keep us small, we rise.
We rise through adversity.
We rise through trauma.
We rise through abuse.
We rise to become mothers.
and business owners, despite the "stats".
and mothers while also being business owners... again, despite the stats.
and even empty nesters, creating a new business, all despite the stats.
We rise through all the self questioning, the imposter syndrome, the second guessing, the third guessing, and the opinions of those who will never understand,
and once again, for all the things built in this world to keep us small. We rise.
... and oh, when we do, it is truely a thing of beauty and art.
Even when we feel like it's a mess, it's beautiful, and elegant and powerful.
It's Art.
It's the Art of the woman.
It's the Art of becoming a woman.
It's the Art of Her.

There is a version of this conversation that starts with color palettes and font pairings and ends with a Canva template that looks clean on Instagram for about three weeks.
That is not this conversation.
Your brand is what someone feels in the first three seconds they spend on your website. It is what runs underneath every touchpoint. Your emails, your captions, the way you respond to a DM at 9pm, before you have said anything at all. It is the signal that tells someone whether or not you can be trusted with what they actually need from you.
A logo is a face. But your brand is everything the face is sitting on top of.

Every piece of content you put out is telling your audience something. Including the things you did not mean to say.
When the style of your visuals shift every few months, the signal is: she is still searching. When your voice sounds carefully managed, like it has been cleaned up before anyone could see it, the signal is: there are parts of herself she does not trust you to see. When the words say one thing and the images say another, the signal is: something here does not quite add up.
None of this is a branding problem. It is an identity problem wearing a branding problem's clothes.
Around here, we talk a lot about Scripts. Not the kind you write, the kind you were handed. By the way you were raised, by diet culture, by a world that had very specific ideas about how much space you were allowed to take up and what you had to fix before you were worth being seen. Most of us have been living inside those Scripts for so long that we think they are our own voice.
And here is the thing about Scripts: they do not stay home when you go to work.
They follow you into your business. They show up in the font you picked because it felt safe instead of because it felt like you. The bio you rewrote twelve times trying to sound credible enough. The offer you underpriced because you were not sure anyone would say yes at full rate. The version of yourself you constructed for your brand because the real one did not feel professional enough yet.
And inside your brand identity, the Scripts about what a professional is supposed to look like, how polished you are supposed to sound, how much of yourself you are supposed to manage before you are allowed to be taken seriously, they are running your business whether you know it or not.
When a brand feels hollow, it is rarely a design problem. It is a visibility problem. And maybe its one you have not felt safe enough to actually show up inside it yet.

They respond to a voice that sounds like a real person made a real decision about what they believe and said it out loud without softening the edges first. They respond to values that show up consistently, not as bullet points on an about page, but as the quiet current underneath everything you make.
They respond to the experience of being in your world. The way someone is welcomed in. The way you communicate when something is unclear. The way you guide someone through your work when they are not sure what they need yet. That is where trust actually lives.
And they respond to the feeling you leave them with. Not the aesthetic. The feeling. That becomes your brand's fingerprint. The part that is genuinely yours and cannot be replicated no matter how closely someone studies your feed.

When your voice, your values, and the experience of working with you all speak the same language, when none of those things contradict each other, your clients feel it. Not because the design is beautiful, but because the whole thing is honest. And people can tell the difference.
That is what a brand built from the inside out looks like, one that has not been managed or performed or carefully assembled to look like the most acceptable version of you. It is just honest all the way through.
The woman who has been running her business from behind a version of herself she constructed because it felt safer. She knows when she is in the presence of someone who stopped doing that. She can feel the difference between a brand that was built to look trustworthy and a brand that actually is. And she is looking for the second one. So is your client.

Design gives your brand a face. You give it everything else- the substance, the invitation, the connection and the authenticy.
If you are ready to go deeper than the surface of it, there are a few places to start.
The Powerfully Her community on Facebook is where women talk honestly about identity, visibility, and what it actually means to be seen without managing how you come across. The Untamed Archetype Quiz will show you the energy you naturally lead with — and how that should be shaping the way you show up everywhere. And if you are ready to have your presence captured in a way that finally matches the work you are doing, you can start the conversation at jessicakorff.com.
There is no right order. Just the next honest step you are ready to take.
